Susan,
The SAA published Managing Archival and Manuscript Repositories ( Wilsted and Nolte, 1991) includes a chapter on "Managing Archival Facilities" which has a formula and other information. At 10 yrs since publication, it may not be the most current thing out there, but is a place to start.
Good Luck!

Hello colleagues.
As we are ever in the process of archives space planning (sort of an oxymoron for archives I suppose), I was wondering if any of you have ever come up with--or know of--a formula that helps to project archives space based on the age of an institution?
Please post your answers to the list as I think this might be of help to a number of people.
Thanks!
Susan
