Re: Exhibition Workshop Advice

I can vouch for the Campbell Center. Though I haven't had any direct
contact with it for several years now, I know the people involved with it
and it offers very reputable programs.

I participated in a workshop titled "Exhibit Design for the Small Museum" at
the Campbell Center [http://campbellcenter.org/] in Mt. Carroll, IL a few
years back and found it quite helpful and probably quite appropriate for a
library, municipality, historical association, etc. Good basics, good
dialogue. good networking.

Here's the URL for a course description:

The Center is a small campus in a quiet town. Nice little summer getaway.

Please reply to the list. I'm interested in this, too.

Dear Listmembers:

I'm the acting Exhibitions Coordinator here at Rutgers Special
Collections and University Archives. We have a fairly big program--two
galleries, 24 cases and three or four shows a year. Can any recommend a

workshop that would provide training in exhibits preparation, security,
curatorial issues (ideally geared for libraries rather than musuems)?

Thanks so much,
Fernanda Perrone
