I've worked with dozens of these film crews. In every case, the
production company has come to us wanting images and/or footage
relevant to their subject. They've already got the show written and
researched. What they need from us is pictures, and lots of them. The
production companies often have researchers on staff whose job it is go
out and find the images/footage they need. These researchers have various
titles -  production assistant, research assistant and (yes, even)
archivist.

I don't mind not being referred to as a producer because in fact I'm not
a producer - just an information provider.
