seeking someone from Georgia Tech library

Good morning,

The reason we're desperately seeking someone from the Georgia
Tech Library, or at least I am, is that we share something in
common: the Olympics. I've started to wonder--well, yes, worry!--
about the impact that "welcoming the world" is going to have on our
library here at the University of Utah next January-February.
Althought we're outside the [insert dramatic music and echoing
voice here] "Z-O-N-E O-F S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y", we're right on the edge
of it, and right in the way between the Olympic Village and the site
of the opening and closing ceremonies. I can walk to the former in
about 15 minutes and can look down into the latter out my
windows. I fully expect to have machine-gun-armed guards shining
flashlights down our throats the whole time, to tell the truth.

So if there's anyone from the Georgia Tech Library, or if anyone
has a name/number of someone who was there during the
Olympics, I'd appreciate a note. I want to see what special
training, staff awareness, problems/benefits/doubts/whatsomeever
they might have encountered during the games. Ours won't be
quite as elaborate nor as big (Winter Games are about 1/4 the size
of Summer Games, traditionally), but it will still have an impact on
us. I know their library was in the Z-O-N-E O-F S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y,
as well.

I would have asked our Australian comrades but I don't think the
Sydney Olympics revolved around a university, did they?

Thanks in advance,

Roy
