That only demonstrates a property of *silver*, not paper, cloth, or leather. You might as well
argue: "To illustrate that no damage that can be caused by handling materials with ungloved hands
take a piece of gold and lightly touch it with your unclean finger, set it aside for an eternity
(not sure how long) your fingerprint will never tarnish the gold. It will be clearly invisible."
