Re: request for "road trip" songs

How about "Take the Long Way Home" a harmonica tune by the
Little River Band from Australia?

Or "Sentimental Journey", recorded before I was born so I don't remember
the singer==maybe Rosemary Clooney?

Or "Happy Trails to You" from the old cowboy movies? Was that Roy Rodgers or Gene Autrey?

And "Riding on the City of New Orleans" about taking the railroad. I used
to know who sung that...Gordon Lightfoot perhaps?

Peter, Paul and Mary used to sing "500 Miles", another railroad song.

And who can forget "The Man Who Never Returned" about the guy who
rode forever 'neath the street of Boston?

And then there are the water travel songs, everything from "Erie Canal" to
"Proud Mary".

Loggins & Messina sang "Please Come To Boston" about a guy who goes everywhere but home.

And of course, there is "Shuffle Off to Buffalo", but I don' know who recorded that one.
