Folder labels--one more thought

As persnickety (sp?) as it may seem, the person who does the work of writing (if pencil work is chosen over labels) should submit an example so that it can be checked for legibility, placement on the folder, etc. At another institution, I experienced a previous worker's illegible handwriting, also placed so low on the folder tab that it was difficult to read unless one pulled the folder out of the drawer (the files were in cabinets). It's better to know now, than years from now, when no one can read the work.

Just a thought...

Sincerely,
