Re: RAIN 7/17



What I found particularly interesting about the RAIN article below was that
there was absolutely no indication on the web page that the building in
question, or even Sutter County, is in California.  Even on the
Appeal-Democrat's home page, there's no mention of the city and state of
publication.  very odd....   ;->

Standing the test of time

When the Sutter County Hall of Records opened to the public 109 years ago,
its builders had a significant notion on their minds: This structure will
never burn down.
The building, opened in July 1892, was built of stone and masonry, its
interior walls of plaster and its window shades of metal. Its heavy metal
entrance doors were painted to resemble wood grain.
