RAIN 8/03: Florida elections (again?), embezzlement, bank records



Yes RAIN is late this a.m. if only because there is so much in the news of
late. There are over 30 stories in this posting.

TECHNICAL NOTE: If you encounter a link that does not work look careful the

Investigators have confiscated hundreds of pieces of evidence from the home
of a former Bexar County district clerk, who is accused of passing forged
documents and stealing from the dead.
Investigators said that Melvyn Spillman (pictured, left), 54, plagued many
victims.
Spillman recently retired from the district clerk's office shortly after
Bexar County District Clerk Reagan Greer noticed some irregularities. The
suspect supervised the microfilm and records area.

rights activists.
The leak has forced the bank to change hundreds of internal passwords. The
documents, which revealed the names of account holders, were posted on the

the UK-based animal testing firm.
