Physics preprint archive

I don't recall seeing this....

There is an article in SCIENCE magazine (v.293, #5529, 20 July 2001) about
physicist Paul Ginsparg at Los Alamos National Laboratory, who started the
Los Alamos Electronic Preprint Archive (LAEPA) 10 years ago as a vehicle
for scientists in the physics world to share their not-yet-published
papers. It has been a wildly successful venture, accessioning more than
2,500 papers a month this year. Ginsparg has now opted to take a tenured
position at Cornell University and will take the preprint archive with him.

There is another article on the Cornell web site about the archive & the
move: <www.cornell.edu> & click on link

The Archive itself can be viewed at <www.arXiv.org>
