One thing to think about is the shift in music over time - it's entirely
reasonable that the tunes used in 1825 will have variations from the ones
used today (transcription errors could lead to key changes, time notations
may be lost or changed, etc.)  I personally would think they're worth
keeping, though you have to make a choice as to how much gets spent on
preserving them, especially if money is tight.

There's always the preservation project approach - you could go for a
preservation grant (NHPRC, or a church group, or whatever) and microfilm
them, preservation photocopy, whatever.  Failing anything else, offer them
to an appropriate repository - there's no reason to toss them out if someone
else is willing to take them on.
