Exhibit materials

We are currently planning to open the Robert
Strawbridge Home to visitors. The home has undergone
both architectural and archaeological excavations, and
the plan is to leave much of the home as is. This
means that areas will be exposed that will show the
original 1760 era logs as well as the progression of
building materials over time. It has been decided not
to add air conditioning or heating.

My question is what kind of materials are best to use
for signage and storyboards that will hold up without
environmental control?

We do have a visitor's center on site that does have
environmental controls that will house artifacts and
pertinent documents. This area will also house a
video exhibit for disabled visitors as the house does
not meet ADA requirements.

I realize this is more of a museum than an archival
question, but hope the collective wisdom of the group
will lead me in the right direction.

Thank you,
