Re: stereographs



Daniel's note about the "pencil" museum online was very
interesting.  Some of you may occasionally hear about
Cedar Key, Florida which is east of here, and seems to
be a tropical storm/hurricane magnet.

The cedar forests that used to be here provided a massive
industry for wood for pencils in the 19th century and so this
contribution is part of our Florida heritage.

That's what makes some of these obscure historical facts
so interesting, and made me a fan for many years of James
Burke's PBS television series about "connections."
