Re: Access

Geri, is your Access database for in-house use only, or can the public search it online? Our Systems people seem to think that public usage over the Web is the part of our project that would disqualify us from doing it in Access.

One componenet is a general archival collections section, one is for audiotapes, one is for negatives, and one is for reference requests that come in and we've done specific research, this allows us not to replicate all the steps the next time. We are going to add another component for press releases and one for our videotapes. Each is Very searchable and we've had very little problems teaching it to new staff.
