Re: Instant urban legend



We had radio stations here in Alabama "suggesting" that people fill up the
gas tanks in their cars because of the Federal Emergency Plan that had been
activated by President Bush.  If I understand it correctly, and I may not,
the govt. can restrict fuel and food supplies, etc.  Even my local news
station announced that fuel supplies in the nation were under tighter
restrictions to ensure adequate supplies where needed.  We had panic buying
in the grocery stores yesterday too.  Gas lines were not too bad near my
home, but I did hear reports of long lines in some other areas.
