The State Archives of Georgia Celebrates
GEORGIA ARCHIVES WEEK 2001: Investigate Your History

The State Archives of Georgia, in conjunction with other Atlanta area
facilities, is celebrating Georgia Archives Week by helping researchers
learn where they can investigate their history.

Please join us from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the State Archives Auditorium!  For

Tuesday, October 9
Atlanta Fulton Public Library:  Learn more about the Genealogical Department
and branch libraries such as the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African
American Culture and History.

Wednesday, October 10
Washington Memorial Library, Macon, Georgia:  Find out why the Genealogical
Department is well-known all over the State of Georgia.

Thursday, October 11
Special Collections, Georgia State University: Hear about the Popular Music
Collection, the Southern Labor Archives, the Georgia Government
Documentation Project, the Women's Collection and more.

Friday, October 12
Oakland Cemetery: Discover Atlanta's oldest cemetery and the records
available to you.

Saturday, October 13 (10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)
Atlanta History Center and the State Archives of Georgia:  Explore personal
and governmental resources, and find out how they are related.
