Re: Archivist documentation of disaster



Actually, if it's the same story I heard, it was someone from the American
Folklife Center who when out in the street to get reactions from people
right after Pearl Harbor.  The Folklife Center is encouraging folklorists
and others to go out and record people's reactions to the Sept. 11 events.
 One interesting snippet has a linguist, I think, talking about words
people are using to describe events.
