Definitely worthwhile to develop (no pun intended) contacts at camera
stores, galleries & museums, arts organizations, and any places that
still teach silver photography.

I cannot imagine photography & photographers becoming extinct, but
then, I grew up in Rochester. NY, a city completely dominated by
Eastman Kodak.  :)
