Archive Impact, a Detroit-based digital photo cataloging, archival and
media asset management company, is pleased to offer a continuing
education archival colloquium series. The sessions will be held up
through April of 2002 and will take place nationally.

The HistoryMakers was founded in 1999 by Julieanna Richardson, a
Harvard-trained lawyer. It is a national African American video oral
history project that is committed to raising the public's awareness of
the many African Americans who have made significant contributions to
American society. If The HistoryMakers is successful in their goal of
archiving these 5,000 interviews, it would represent the single largest
archival project of its kind. Eventually, The HistoryMakers will use
these interviews to develop a digital archive that can be accessed
through historically black colleges and universities and African
American museums as well as major institutions such as the Library of
Congress, the Smithsonian and the Schomburg Center.
