The thing I think everyone missed is that you post
the
time you locked the door on your written
message.
So even if their watch is five minutes off, they
have a
firm idea of when you left and a pretty good idea
of
when you will be back.
If you are constantly in and out of your area, a
clock
works, provided your patrons know that you are
reliable
and will return at
the time your clock says. If you cannot
do that, then the
written note is preferable.
And remember, you can please most of the people
most
of the time, not always.
