Re: Processing question

I am inclined to go with central office, who issued them and put a note in each hospital's file that after such and such a date the press releases are filed with the central/owner's organization's press releases.

The one thing I would urge is consistency.

Given a choice, how would others deal with the following situation?

We have several hospitals in the Health System, each of which at some point
was their own separate entity, with its own PR department. I've divided our
collections by facility, so Hosp A. will have a collection of press
releases, Hosp B will too, etc.

Now that we're a unified System, the central PR office is producing all the
Releases, and putting out facility-specific information on that facility's
stationery. Do those releases belong with the central office's materials,
or should they be separated out & included with the facility's other
materials?

My inclination is the latter, as anyone interested in the individual
facility will naturally head to that collection. I understand that the
function lies with the central office, but it just doesn't seem logical to
approach a search for information about a specific facility under the files
of the central office.

Opinions?
