Re: The thorny job application process



I believe that it is possible to craft a polite letter indicating that you
had applied for the position in question, had not heard anything as yet, and
are inquiring about the status of your application.  Say that you would
simply like to close your file on this application if indeed the search has
been completed.

I don't think that a polite an inquiry will gain you a "reputation."
