Re: Copyright Question
The Library of Congress website <www.loc.gov> features the
Copyright Office website.
According to Title 17 US Code (i.e., copyright law), work done "for
hire" belongs to the employer, not the employee. This includes a
portrait painted on commission AND work performed in the
scope of one's duties at the office (e.g., at a newspaper or
corporation).
