Unless they were sending Collins Street Bakery Fruitcakes that was a bit
like sending coals to Newcastle.  C-rations contained cans of fruitcake-and
they were nowhere near the quality of the ones from Corsicana.  Still, they
were more palatable than some of the other items that Uncle Sam provided.

Throughout my tour my sister sent cans of Old El Paso enchiladas and
jalapenos.  In Viet Nam they were absolutely wonderful, but I haven't
touched canned enchiladas since returning to the states.
