Electronic Records FAQ - Responses
Thank you to all of those who sent me listings and/or
urls. To everyone who requested that I post my
findings and responses, here they are.
Special Thanks to Jennifer O'Neill at the New York
State Archives for sharing a work in progress. NY is
preparing a series of FAQs and will soon have them
available on their newly remodeled web site (by the
end of Jan. I think). Since I am one of the folks who
tells people to never open attachments, especially
from listservs, I have the MS Word files that she
sent me and would be happy to share them (with her
permission) to anyone who would like them. E-mail me
and I'll copy them into a posting or send them as
attachments to you.
Here are the URLs for the sites that I have found
(Sorry about the spacing, but I don't access the
listservs with my Outlook account at work, I do it
through YahooMail. If the urls aren't clickable you
might have to cut and paste them into your browser's
address window):

Has an FAQ for Optical Imaging, it looks like from
this page that they are planning some other electronic
records management related FAQs, but don't have them
up yet.
When we here at Kentucky get ours up and running, I'll
post an announcement to that effect to respective
lists. I was interested in seeing what the common
themes were and there were some. E-mail and imaging
seem to be the biggest topic along with what
constitutes a
record.
Again, thanks to everyone and have a Happy New Year!!
