Possibly looking for a home

A local historical society here in Maine has an extensive scrapbook that was created by Robert Skinner.  He was apparently a native of Columbus Ohio.  The scrapbook covers his years as Consul General to Great Britain (1914-1923).  He later became the ambassador to Turkey.  His wife also kept a scrapbook, and there may be other associated materials.  The Skinners retired to Belfast, Maine -- so far, that is the only local connection that the historical society has discovered.

Is there a Museums of Diplomats somewhere?  Library of Congress?  Smithsonian?  Repository in Columbus?  Where does this item belong?

Reply to me and I will pass any responses on to the historical society.
