Re: Gandalf and Reading Room Snacking



I remember having a similar reaction to something in Kubrick's Eye Wide Shut a few years ago.  There is a scene in Kidman/Cruise's home where, in the hallway, a lamp is sitting right up next to a painting.  I remember my immediate reaction, in spite of what was going on in the film, was "Don't they know that putting a normal lamp that close to a painting will cause it to fade!  And what about the possible heat issues from a light bulb that is so close to the painted surface!"

My friends told me that I needed a vacation!
