Re: looking for online help for preservation of family ephemera

Paul (and others),

The Conservation Online (CoOL) site has a section intended for the "general
public." The URL is:

http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/bytopic/genpub/

This is a list of online tutorial and self-help preservation sites,
inlcuding the LOC, Smithsonian, NEDCC, etc., and covers just about every
imaginable "family treasure." It also includes a link to the AIC's free
conservator referral service, which could be of interest to your audience.

Good luck.
