Tyvek addendum

Hello all -

Regarding the question I passed on from Jill Schneider about using
Tyvek envelopes for field notebook storage:
In a later phone conversation yesterday, Jill wondered whether Tyvek's
breathability - or lack thereof? - was an issue. Her work area does not
have climate control, but, there is no humidity problem either. She noted
that many of the field notebooks are very old (late 1800's - first quarter
of
20th century) and have a leather-like cover, or surface on the end boards.
Is this an issue in terms of archival paper vs. Tyvek storage envelopes?

Thanks from Jill and me for your ideas and suggestions!
