Annual BudgetHello, Nancy!

That's a wide-open question. The way I'd approach it would be to determine
if you can how much work you intend to do in the collections, then determine
what supplies you'll need for the work. Then, if the budget is approved and
you get to order the supplies, hope and pray that you get to use them. We
got a $5,000 grant for supplies last year, and even that was hardly enough
for the massive needs in our collections. The terms of the grant required
that the money be spent by a certain date. It was, and now many of the
supplies are sitting in our storage building unused because I've been
redirected to projects other than what we ordered them for.

Good luck!

Best wishes,

Hello All:
I was wondering if I can receive some feedback on this- this is the first
time that I need to comprise a budget for the school archives in which I
work.  I need to give some idea as to how much I will be spending on
supplies (archival material etc).  It is difficult to determine due to the
fact that I have not worked a full year.  Thus, I do not know what to expect
in terms of spending.
I have a asked to see the prior year's budget--instead, I was handed a pile
of order forms- which helps-partially.
Thanks,
Nancy Iannucci
