Costs of maintaining digitized documents

Dear Listserv Colleagues.

Hi. A couple years ago there was an article in an online journal giving
the result of a study that had been done of digitized libraries and
document repositories that suggested that the costs of maintaining
the data was 100% of the original digitization costs every ten years.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone give me a source or
reference (on the web if possible) for this study? Thanks for your
help.
