[no subject]

Quick question-well two really.

The Executive Assistant to the Director is going through the office files
and weeding out the inactive files and sending them over to the Archives
(Yeah!). 99% are in file folders so I have just been rehousing them.
However, she has also sent over several batches of documents on a variety of
subjects, not in file folders.

Should I sort these out into the appropriate files (if they exist) or create
new files or put them in a big Miscellaneous file (not my first choice)?

Secondly, the EA's tenure spans the past and current Director's terms and
some of the files do too. I have been filing them with the "originating"
Director, but making a notation in the finding aid that documents within the
file also refer to the current Director. It's a little cumbersome and was
wondering if anyone has suggestions as to a better way.

In the meantime I am just glad the files are getting here!
