Demise of Friday Funnies

Archivists,
People get soooo mad. Just because we shredded ten or
twenty boxes of the General Counsel's active litigation
files they got soooo upset. [ So this lawyer staggers
into a bar and asks, "Is this where I take the exam?]
I tried to tell them that other people would sue us
sooner or later so they would have new case files but
nooooo. They had to make a big deal out of it sooo I
took it on the lam...I mean I took a few days off AND
WHAT HAPPENS. Some antiquated steam driven server
takes it UPON ITSELF to rerun one of my Friday
Funnies. I got blamed for being TOTALLY SENILE just
because I couldn't get the monitoring bracelet off and
sneak to my computer. And then sooo many folks wrote
to thank me for suspending Friday Funnies. Well, I got
so down I went out to have a little cactus juice down
at the Pancho Villa Peace Institute and Chimichanga
Hut. I'd been there a while and was working my way
through a Lone Ranger spritzer (you know, the one with
a little white hat on a stick) when a man's head
without a body came floating into the bar and ordered a
drink. The head sort of slurped the the drink down,
and all of his torso appeared. The head ordered
another drink, slurped it down and his legs appeared.
"This is great," the head said to the bartender, "give
me another drink. Let's get my arms back." The
bartender poured him another, the head slurped it down,
and suddenly the head, torso and legs disappeared
altogether. The drunk sitting next to me turned to the
bartender and said, "It just goes to show you, he
should have quit while was a head."
Friday Funnies will resume after therapy. Dick "Go
