The Universal Studios Operations Group is responsible for the physical
operations of Universal Studios and its entities in Universal City,
California. The group provides production support services, in addition
to
managing and maintaining the facilities.  Other services include
transportation, accounting, records management, construction, catering,
special events, on-site stores, and everything necessary for the diverse,
daily activities of running a large, complex company.  The Archives &
Collections department is responsible for documenting the history of
Universal Studios, including its product.  This includes the management

As Photo Archivist, you'll create procedures for collecting, cataloging,

the

maintaining relationships with key departments to obtain photographs and
information; and determining what photos to manage. You'll also manage
the
storage facility; gain approval for accessioning required items; and
respond to requests for photographs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in History, Archival Administration, Museum Studies, or
equivalent is required (Masters Degree preferred).  Three to five years'
experience working specifically with cataloguing, preserving or
accessioning photographs in an archives, library or museum.  Ability to
start an archival program from scratch is essential.  Good communication
and organizational skills.  Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability
to work independently.  Experience using word processing, spreadsheet,
database and digital imaging software.  Ability to make recommendations
on
future software needs for photograph management and preservation.
