Re: replying to postings on the archives listserv



I do have a reply all, and I usually also delete the original poster's name,
so they don't get my reply twice.  However, I too would vote for a return to
the reply all default, even with the added Spam, Spam responses, and
automated out of the office messages that we used to get.

One additional benefit of the reply all, is that people can also tell if
nobody has responded to a message, which might encourage somebody to do so.
Besides the effect of seeing someone else's response and feeling a need to
add in more info.

What is the primary purpose of this listserv? mmmmmmm?

TO SHARE INFORMATION!!!

Well, what would happen if for one day nay let's say one week that no one
responded to any posting made to this list. What we would have would be a
lot of questions and no answers. People would be forced to search out the
answers for themselves, the information would be kept hidden. I suggest to
those who are frequent responders to questions that we not answer any query
starting next week. I know that would be hardship for Flynn as well as
myself.
