Re: Sanborn Maps

Hi all,

LC and one of the copyright holders for the Sanborn maps failed to reach
an agreement and the project is currently dead in the water. LC is trying
to work with another copyright holder and there is hope that some day
the Sanborn maps will be available.

One thing that has just been made available is by Proquest and does
provide access to a large collection of Sanborn maps. The problem is that
it is a pay database and one would need to come to a library to use the
item. (LC does have it and it is very nice.)

My email software has been acting very ugly and I'm hoping this message
does come through. Any questions let me know.
