Re: Business name changes and collection titles



IWe, too, use the name of the organization that created the records.  For
example, Rocky Mountain Telephone Companywas bought out by Mountain States T&
T Co., which later changed its name to Mountain Bell, which became U S WEST
at divestiture and was recently purchased by Qwest.  We keep separate
collections of each (not to mention fully separated subsidiaries).
Generally, if we know when and where a record was created, we know which
collection to look in.  Plus it keeps reminding us of the various company
histories!
