eBay and political postings

I, for one, am glad that eBay has not discovered this list, for while I
enjoy hearing from our colleagues about great finds they have uncovered at
eBay, I shudder to think of the avalanche of postcard listings we would get
from the company directly!

I bought a stereoview from eBay last month that is supposed to be an early
view of Bozeman. I am not convinced, now that I have had a chance to
examine it, that the view is of Bozeman, nor is it a true stereoview. It
shows a storefront on a dirt main street from two slightly different angles,
but its obvious that they were taken minutes apart. I think the camera made
the first exposure, then the photographer moved a few steps to the right,
and then snapped the shutter again. Has anyone else ever seen a stereoview
made this way?

Oh, and the political postings? Well, they are kinda like that stereoview,
except each one takes a step or two to the left or right when snapping the
shutter...
