Buster Brown story on NPR this morning

Title: Buster Brown story on NPR this morning

Hi everybody,

There was a wonderful story on NPR's Morning Edition today (May 6, 2002) about Buster Brown as part of their continuing series called Present at the Creation. The audio report by Elizabeth Blair includes an interview with the archivist of the Brown Shoe Company and among other things explains the origin of the term "yellow journalism,"  and the value of cartoons in contemporary life.

For more information go to http://www.npr.org/programs/morning
You'll need to scroll down to the Special Features section and find the Present at the Creation series. Or, go to the May 6 date in the archives, find the feature about Buster Brown at the end of the show, listen to the audio, and/or click on the expanded coverage to get additional information like a jingle, a silent film, etc.
