Collection Removal

I recently reviewed our collection files, and discovered a number of
collections that do not have donor agreements. I am in the process of
writing letters to the donors of those collections that I can identify
and who are still alive, and will ask them to sign donor agreements. In
order to impress upon these people the importance of this, I want to
include examples of collections that have been removed from archives by
descendants of donors, when there were no agreements that established
the archives' ownership of the collections. I know I've seen this
discussed here before, and I searched the list archives, but to no
avail. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Andy
