Re: OT: Nigeria scam

A ex- co-worker of mine got caught up in the Nigerian letter scam and ended
up embezzling a pile of his company's money to keep feeding it. When he was
discovered he took his own life. Granted that he had other problems besides
having stolen $100k to feed a scam. Nevertheless, we used to shoot pool
together sometimes and I liked him. I never knew about his involvement in
the scam or I would have clued him in :-[

He had teenage children and had recently re-married. I wonder if the
people he was dealing with ever knew (or cared) about the consequences of
their actions.

Actually, you all should do what i do. I send the
people who send me Nigerian spam, a lot of email. I
spam them! If everyone sent them 10 emails a day we
would flood them. If you set up a distribution list
you can do it with a minimum of effort.

I get no more spam from them than before, but i do get
a lot of pleasure from knowing that they have to
delete the gibberish i send them.
