Telephone Number: 701-328-2666 Minimum Qualifications: · Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on history, archives or library science. · Interest in and general knowledge of North Dakota history. · Ability to write clearly and concisely. · Knowledge of standard reference sources for research in North Dakota history, genealogy and  related subjects. · Basic research skills. · Good interpersonal skills. · Self motivated. Summary of Work: Responsible for aiding people researching the collections of the State Archives and Historical Research Library through requests in the Reading Room, by letter or by telephone and email. Retrieves and re-shelves materials needed. Directs researchers to appropriate sources of information to answer inquiries. Instructs researchers as needed in the use and preservation of materials. Maintains control of the Reading Room and provides interlibrary loan service to other libraries requesting loan of microfilm. Serves on divisional/agency teams or committees as requested. Supervises seasonal and volunteer reference staff.
