I'm wondering if it's possible that the salary range is based on the .5 FTE;
i.e. .5 of a 40 hour work week or 20 hours for $17,000 - $22,000 annually, which
would certainly be in the professional range.  It's also likely that the
paragraph re: the 40hr work week is standard information generated by HR and not
specific to the position.

I'm sure the posting party will clarify for us.
