will take you to the SAA site wherein is published the salary surveys (I
considered posting this last week when you-know-what came up...)
and this particular page of the survey is introductory material.  It
addresses the various categories and the levels of responsibilities
that accompany the corresponding categories.  It is quite general, but
you may find it a helpful starting point.
