Re: Return of thesis materials



My opinion is that anything submitted by the student as part
of their thesis requirement becomes part of that thesis.  If
university policy is that the student must provide x number of
copies of their thesis, then that is also the policy that permits
them to use the thesis toward graduation requirements.   Your
thesis (and all its parts, therefore) is evidence that the student
had to provide in order to receive their academic degree.    If
you returned this, it is would be like refunding their tuition.
