Large numbers of Italian and German POWs held in camps throughout Arkansas
during W.W.II. We also have several camps for Japanese Americans.

There was also a POW camp for, I presume, German prisoners of war, in West
Alabama, in a little town called Aliceville, A few years ago the town held a
reunion and many of the former internees returned.
