Re: POW Camps in the US



I still find it incredible that German POWs during WWII were shipped
back to the US, why weren't they sent to Great Britain or France?

There was also a POW camp for, I presume, German prisoners of war, in
West Alabama, in a little town called Aliceville, A few years ago the
town held a reunion and many of the former internees returned.
