It also lets the inquirer know that the institution is not among the
regrettably MANY businesses, nonprofits, etc. who have e-mail addresses but
never respond to anything sent by that means.  Yes, this includes some
governmental agencies.

Now, there are days when I would like nothing better than to ignore my
e-mail!  But responding to it is part of my job, and I find it just
infuriating when (as a private citizen) I send a question to a valid
institutional address and get back...nothing.  Ever.

Happy Wednesday (or, as our school secretary used to call it on the
attendance sheet, "Hump Day!"),
