Re: microfilm/fische reader/printer &/or scanner

A similar question occurred recently. If one is in a major metro area, such
as Cleveland, the major vendors have showrooms where one can have a demo of
several models, etc. When I worked in Cleveland and was scouting out
reader/copiers, I visited three manufacturer showrooms, taking my most
problematic documents and seeing just how good a result I would get. That
was worth far more than recommendations, etc., not that they are not
valuable. Check in the phone book to see office equipment suppliers. They
will turn out the red carpet for you if they have a live customer on the
hook!

Hi all!

I did my homework and searched through the listserv archives first. Now I
come to you, my esteemed collegues. :)

We are *finally* getting encouragement (or at least not a flat-out 'no') to
get a microfilm/fische reader/printer &/or scanner!!! [insert happy dance]

Because technology is constantly changing, I'm interested in getting
opinions about the 'all-in-one' reader/printer/scanner, opinions about
brands, service quality, reliability, and helpful questions to ask
salespeople. I'm hoping to purchase equipment that will last quite a long
time (it took around 40 years to get this far in our request!).

Thank you for all your help!!!!!
