Hello B Greekers
My question concerns the meaning of ACRI in Rev 20:5
OI LOIPOI; TWN NEKRWN OUK EZHSAN ACRI TELESQH TA CILIA ETH.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years
were completed. nas
The english preposition "until" as well as the translation seems to
imply the rest of the dead do live after the 1000 years are over. As I
look in the lexicons however this implication does not seem to be
present. Does ACRI carry with it an implication or not.
5 The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be
finished. asv
the implication does not appear in the ASV
